Doosan Brands Make a Splash at Intermat in Paris
2015. 5. 14

Doosan Heavy, Bobcat and Doosan Portable Power equipment made a splash at Intermat, one of the largest construction equipment exhibitions in the world. The event was held April 20-25 at the North Paris-Villepinte Exposition Park, just north of Paris, France.

Intermat is one of the largest construction equipment exhibitions in the world, held once every three years, alternating with Germany’s BAUMA and CONEXPO in the U.S. As it was the biggest showcase for construction machinery this year, equipment manufacturers from all over the world were on hand to proudly display their products.

Doosan Infracore’s new 5-Series excavators, wheel loaders and ADTs are now compliant with Stage IV, Europe’s toughest emissions standards, and they boast improved performance and fuel efficiency.

Bobcat Company also introduced its new lineup of products, including skid-steer loaders, compact excavators and telescopic handlers. In addition, Doosan Portable Power attracted many visitors with its new generators.

Doosan’s exhibition area, full of heavy construction equipment, resembled a movie set. “We tried to make it feel as if the individual equipment was telling a story, like it was a movie shoot,” De Sy said.

Product Manager Olivier Bonnet organized a demonstration at the outdoor exhibition venue, saying that the main focus of the show was to deliver the message that Doosan and Bobcat are one team.

“In the demo show, I tried to demonstrate how Doosan’s heavy equipment and Bobcat®’s compact equipment can create synergy together,” said Bonnet.

“Dazzling control techniques may be needed to instantly attract visitors’ attention, but more focus was put on demonstrating how our machines with different functionalities can work together as a team.”

It took a year to prepare for the Intermat exhibition. That show is over now, but already preparations are underway for Bauma, which will be held in Germany next year.

In planning for the Bauma exhibition, there will be many discussions about what changes and improvements are needed, based on what was learned from the Intermat exhibition.
