Doosan Infracore recently launched a new 6-ton wheel excavator (DX60W ECO) in China, further increasing its excavator sales in the market.
With its sales of excavators in China topping 10,000 units during the first half of 2020, Doosan Infracore has now launched a new wheel excavator, spurring the company’s excavator sales increase in the huge Chinese market.
On July 20, Doosan Infracore announced that it had sold a total of 10,728 excavators in China during the first half of 2020, its largest sales figure in nine years since the first half of 2011, when it sold more than 12,000 excavators in the market.
The recent success represents an increase of more than 10% over the same period of 2019, when the company’s excavator sales reached 9,707 in China. Notably, the company sold 1,320 excavators in June, achieving a whopping 23% sales increase YoY.
In keeping with the favorable market situation in China, Doosan Infracore recently launched a new 6-ton wheel excavator (DX60W ECO).
Naturally, when it comes to work in urban areas, a wheel excavator is much more popular than a crawler excavator due to its unrivalled mobility. The company’s latest wheel excavator, which is aimed at the Chinese market in particular, boasts even stronger price competitiveness.
Further improvements in performance include the adoption of a high-efficiency hydraulic control system that increases fuel efficiency while making the machine even more effortless and accurate to operate.
Furthermore, the operator can switch the operation mode between earth excavation, land levelling, and object handling more quickly than before. The new excavator model also showcases outstanding durability and ease of maintenance realized by improving the design of its mainframe structure and components.
“The new wheel excavator has already been evaluated as superior to competing models in the same class in terms of performance, convenience, and fuel efficiency,” said an executive from Doosan Infracore China co., Ltd. “We will further expand our market presence in China by boosting our online marketing efforts through WeChat, among other channels.
The Chinese excavator market suffered a slowdown during the first two months of the year due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it has consistently shown signs of a quick recovery ever since. Sales in China’s excavator market exceeded 155,000 units in the first half of the year, surpassing by a wide margin the 125,000 units sold in the entire country during the first half of 2019.
Meanwhile, in a bid to maximize local customers’ satisfaction with its products and services, Doosan Infracore launched DoosanCARE, the company’s unique and direct customer care program, in April 2020 for a period of two months but it has now extended the free service well into the summer. At the beginning of the year, Doosan Infracore offered customer service training online to more than 7,300 sales representatives and technicians working in its dealerships across China.
“We are constantly creating new business opportunities in China by launching new products and special equipment customized for the Chinese market,” said an executive from Doosan Infracore. “We will also focus on enhancing our competitiveness in sales and customer service in an effort to make our business growth in the Chinese market sustainable.”
