DX75 mini excavator, the model which Doosan Infracore recently sold to the Myanmar government
Doosan Infracore recently took part in a large-scale bid held by the Myanmar government and won a contract for the delivery of 68 mini-excavators, the company's largest contract ever concluded with Myanmar.
The sixty-eight excavators for which Doosan Infracore won the public contract include forty 7.5t class DX75 and twenty-eight 5.5t class DX55 excavators, which will be mobilized for the new urban development project for the Saggai and Bago districts of the country's capital city, Naypyidaw.
Doosan Infracore’s success in winning the contract is attributable not only to the company's marketing strategy, which guarantees the delivery of equipment within the deadline coupled with the offer of an extended warranty, but also to the local dealers' commitment and devotion to winning the contract. Another positive factor in securing this contract was the fact that Doosan Infracore provided equipment operation and maintenance education for more than seventy local people through the DoosanCONNECTTM Telematics Service.
The size of the Myanmar excavator market currently stands at around 1,500 units per year, but demand is rising continuously in line with the Myanmar government’s expansion of its national infrastructure projects. Doosan Infracore has increased its market share in Myanmar from 2% in 2010, the year in which it first entered the market, to 19% in March 2018.
An executive of Doosan Infracore said, "We will continue striving to increase our share of the rapidly growing Myanmar market by providing our clients there with differentiated customer value.
