Long-Term Success Depends on Listening to Partners
2014. 8. 12

For Doosan Infracore, communicating with regional dealers is always a top priority — which is why it hosted the Doosan-Asia Dealer Partnership Conference in Sri Lanka from June 18 to 20. About 30 dealers from 15 countries, along with 21 Doosan employees, attended the three-day event.

The conference focused on enhancing the Doosan Partnership Program, a system introduced last year to promote win-win growth between Doosan and dealers, based on five values —partnership, integrity, customers, excellence and growth.

The best examples of the five values were presented at the conference, demonstrating the importance concrete actions have in realizing long-term business success. Dealers had energetic discussions and learned from each other. During the gala dinner, Doosan Infracore President & CEO Yongsung Kim presented awards to the top three South Asian dealers, all of whom were among the top 10 from around the world in terms of key performance indicators (KPIs).
“We successfully weathered through the tough times of the Asian Financial Crisis at the end of the 1990s,” toasted Kim. “Asian markets now play a critical role among the world’s emerging markets, so I’d like to urge you all to take part in leading the 100-year history of Doosan.”

Dealers call communication ‘meaningful’
On the second day, Sales, Product Management (PM), AM/PS and Marketing presented their initiatives to cultivate dealers. Dealers showed keen interest in the theory of Sales Funnel Management, which helps quantify the number of potential customers. During the discussion sessions, they actively shared ideas and gained knowledge. Amid the hectic schedule, they managed to tour Galle Forte, a World Heritage Site, and other tourist destinations. Dealers said the conference was full of constructive ideas and meaningful communication.
