On October 4, Doosan Infracore announced that it had reached an agreement with Power Solutions International (PSI), an American firm specializing in the manufacture of generator engines, to extend the existing engine supply contract.
Under the terms of the extended contract, which allows the quantity to be adjusted according to market conditions, Doosan Infracore will supply PSI with 8.1-22 liter power generation CNG engines until 2023.
Doosan Infracore and PSI have close maintained business relations since 2008. PSI rolls out Doosan Infracore engines as power generation CNG engines tailored to the prevailing emissions regulations in the North American engine market, and keeps increasing its sales to major generator companies among others in the oil and gas industry of the continent.
Vice-President Junho Yoo, head of Doosan Infracore Engine BG, said, “This extension of our supply contract with PSI, one of the leaders in the global gas engine market, has reaffirmed Doosan Infracore’s exceptional competitiveness in the world market,” adding, “We will build an even closer cooperative network with the company to further bolster synergy between our two firms.”
“It is great to be able to maintain business relations with Doosan Infracore,” declared PSI CEO John Miller. “Through the renewed partnership between our two firms, we will be able to produce outstanding engines, which in turn will enable us to roll out a long-term growth plan with confidence.”
